The garden at the back of the house had been landscaped with a big lawn that the owner wanted removed and the bush drawn closer to the house. The owner also wanted the remaining back garden to be low maintenance and to fall in with the surrounding bush. The Client furthermore wanted the Boma to have a floor of red bricks.
To the front of the house the garden was in need of tidying up to make it look better. A specific problem was rainwater running down from the thatched roof; it had a tendency to run towards the house where it stayed until it finally evaporated. Also the front yard and the maid’s yard were in need of tidying up.
The photos below show the garden after and before the changes.
